My emoji link won’t open in an app
Some apps don’t turn emoji links into tappable links. Use your backup link there.

Emoji links like 👻❤.ws/🔥 work in every modern browser. But a few apps and websites don't recognize emoji in a web address, so they don't make it tappable, or they cut it off.
Use your backup link
- In the editor, press Share in the top bar.
- Copy the Backup link. It's the same address written in plain letters, like
xn--qeiw158m.ws/%F0%9F%94%A5. - Paste that into the app that has trouble.
It opens exactly the same page.
Other things to check
- Is the page published? An unpublished page says it's up for grabs.
- Did you paste the whole link, including the domain?
👻❤.ws/andinmy.bio/are different addresses. - For a paid emoji link: is it active? Check Billing → Emoji links. A link waiting for Pay to activate doesn't work yet.
