Change your handle

Pick a new name any time. Your old link keeps forwarding to the new one for 30 days.

  1. Go to Links & domains.
  2. Open the ⋯ menu next to your handle and pick Change handle.
  3. Type the new name. We check right away if it's free.
  4. Save. The new handle is live straight away.

What happens to the old one

For 30 days, anyone who opens your old link is sent to the new one, and nobody else can take it. After that, the old name is free for anyone.

Changed your mind? You can switch back to the name you just left during those 30 days.

Update the link in your bios before the 30 days are up, so nobody hits a dead end.

Can I give up my handle?

Handles can't be released on their own, but you can change them. Deleting a page frees its handle right away.
