On Starter and up, change colors, fonts, buttons, layout and more, and keep it all easy to read.

Start from a template, then change anything in Design. Everything saves on its own. On Free these cards are locked, and an Upgrade button shows what Starter adds.
What you can change
- Layout: Stack, Grid, Bento or Story. See layouts below.
- Header: how your photo and name sit at the top: Centered, Side by side, Cover, Poster, Magazine and more.
- Background: a color, a gradient, a photo or a video. See Backgrounds.
- Buttons: style, shape (Square, Soft, Rounded, Pill), Button color and Button text color.
- Details: accent color, headline style, socials as icons or names, Number the links, gallery style, decoration and Spaced capitals.
- Typography: 14 fonts, Text color and Secondary text color.
- Profile picture: Circle, Rounded, Blob, Wavy, Arch or Square, plus a short Stamp (up to 6 characters). Free on every plan.
Fonts
Pick from 14 fonts, each with its own vibe: clean, friendly, loud, elegant, techy, handwritten, retro and more. Each tile in the picker is drawn in its own font. Your font is used for your name, headlines and buttons. Your bio stays in a plain font so it's easy to read, unless you turn on Theme font for body text.
Watch for Hard to read under the colors. It means text and its background are too close. See Keep your page easy to read below.
Stack, grid, bento and story layouts
Find these under Design → Layout.
| Layout | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Stack | One block under another. The classic. |
| Grid | Links, images, products and tip jars sit two to a row. |
| Bento | Like Grid, but half-width links turn into square tiles with a big icon or picture. |
| Story | Your profile fills the first screen, and each block gets room to breathe as people scroll. |
The Bento template already uses the bento layout, so you can have it on Free. Switching any template to a different layout needs Starter.
Your page is built for phones first. Check the preview on the right of the editor to see how it looks.
Keep your page easy to read
When text and the color behind it are too similar, Design shows Hard to read: low contrast for …. It checks your text on your background and your button text on your buttons.
Quick fixes
- Make one color much darker or lighter than the other.
- On a photo background, raise Darken a bit and use white text.
- Change Button text to white or black, whichever stands out more.
Why it matters
Lots of people check bios outside, in bright sun, or with their screen dimmed. Some have low vision. If they can't read a button, they won't tap it.
The warning follows the same rule used for accessible websites (a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1). It's a warning, not a block: you can still save and publish.
Custom CSS (Business)
On Business, Design has a Custom CSS card. Type your CSS and it shows in the preview as you go. It only saves when it passes our checks, and any problem shows right under the box.
Classes you can style
.ib-page, .ib-avatar, .ib-name, .ib-bio, .ib-blocks, .ib-block, .ib-block-<type> (for example .ib-block-link) and .ib-link.
